The Friends of Slaithwaite Millpond is a charitable organisation underpinned by the
efforts of it’s volunteer members, here are some of the key figures from the dedicated team;

Consummate negotiator with a wealth of experience in all aspects of large scale
residential/mixed use property development. Career emphasis that focused on the supply of affordable
housing. Impeccable and most sincere green credentials. Great at getting stuff done gratis!

A long career with British Rail in HR; a great way to learn how to get along with people.
Christine has worked in the charity sector at Crisis as a Fundraising Assistant. Like many that have
moved to Slaithwaite from London she has fallen in love with the village and wants to help. There’s a
book in progress but it is early days.

Now retired from Landscape business and 45 years in local government parks and open spaces management. Looking to progress community life with an environmental emphasis. Likes to get things done.
